But There Are Many Things That The Plumber’s

The as-yet-untitled Super Mario movie will undoubtedly be very different to the recent live-action adaptation of Uncharted, but there are many things that the plumber’s animated debut can learn from the surprise success of Tom Holland’s smash hit. Almost 30 years on from 1993’s Super Mario Bros., the upcoming Mario movie is a collaboration between Nintendo and the animation studio Illumination. The Super Mario movie boasts an all-star voice cast including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Jack Black as Bowser. Although Super Mario’s plot is currently being kept secret, there has already been a backlash on Nintendo’s casting announcement and list of characters who are likely to appear in the movie. Uncharted received a similarly frosty reception when the first reports of Holland and Wahlberg’s roles in the film were announced, yet it has since gone on to commercial success despite its poor critical reception. The film received an impress

The Franchise Has Improved With Each Movie

James Bond is one of the most successful movie franchises of all time, but the Mission: Impossible movies, like the Bourne series before it, have steadily built up a reputation as the gold standard for the spy-thriller genre that threatens Bond's crown. Tom Cruise's action franchise has been around for over 25 years and will continue with the much-anticipated Mission: Impossible 7 in 2023. Mission: Impossible 8 then potentially brings Ethan Hunt's story to a close in 2024, but not before getting a chance to continue to evolve and expand the sub-genre. Tom Cruise brought the 1960’ TV show Mission: Impossible to the big screen in 1996. Cruise’s mission statement was for each installment to be different, and brought in a new director each time, until director Christopher McQuarrie became the series’ MVP after Cruise. The franchise has improved with each movie, with 2018's Mission: Impossible – Fallout being the most critically and finically successful entry. Mission: Impo

With These Characters Crossing Paths At Some Point

Pulp Fiction originally had an extra scene in the final encounter between Jules Winnfield and the robbers at the diner, and it was a wise decision to leave it out of the movie. Quentin Tarantino is now one of the most popular and respected filmmakers in the industry, and his movies have stood out thanks to his mastery in writing dialogues, narrative style, and for adding generous amounts of violence and blood to each one of them. Tarantino’s career began in 1992 with the crime movie Reservoir Dogs, but his big break arrived two years later with Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is also a crime movie but it stood out for being told in a non-linear manner and for how each segment and character connects to the rest. Pulp Fiction follows different characters in different segments that together form a cohesive story, with these characters crossing paths at some point. The leads of each short story are hitmen Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson), their boss Marsellu

The Young Avengers were first introduced in Marvel Comics in 2005, with a reboot in 2013 to coincide with the Marvel NOW! initiative. The original team consisted of adolescent superheroes who had links to established members of the Avengers such as Iron Lad, Wiccan, Patriot, and Hulkling. Since then, other young heroes have been enlisted into the Young Avengers including Kate Bishop (as Hawkeye), Kid Loki, Speed, and Miss America also being involved amongst others. Throughout MCU Phase 4, the majority of these heroes have been teased or confirmed to appear in future Marvel Studios properties. In addition, with The Avengers and its three sequels being some of the biggest movies of all time, Marvel has been planting the seeds for a possible new line-up of adult Avengers following the loss of

Author Rick Riordan the Actors From the Two Movie

Author Rick Riordan responds to social media discussions involving the actors from the two movie adaptations appearing in the upcoming Percy Jackson Disney+ show. Hollywood is Hardly a Mystery:

The allure of Hollywood is hardly a mystery: stardom, status, the satisfaction of succeeding in an incredibly difficult competitive field. And considering so many actors dream of making it in Tinseltown, it'd seem almost absurd to give it up once they've gained recognition. And yet, many actors have opened up about the struggles of succeeding in the entertainment industry. Every so often, when an actor announces their retirement, the industry celebrates their accomplishments with a lifetime achievement award and sends them off into the abyss with trumpets and fanfare. However, sometimes, an actor's retirement plans are short-lived, and Hollywood lures them back into the limelight. 10Joe Pesci's 'Retirement' Lasted 7 Years Joe Pesci announced his retirement in 1999 after spending close to 40 years in the industry, stating he wanted to pursue a musical career and enjoy life away from the camera. Since his 'retirement,' Pesci has starred in 3 films: The G

When it Comes to DC and Marvel

When it comes to DC and Marvel, there is no need for an introduction. These comic industry giants have been going neck and neck with their productions nearly since the foundation of both companies. Moreover, for over half a century, the two have also been engaged in a rivalry of sorts that has even brought their own fans into confrontation that continues to this day, with feuds within their own comics and cartoonists moving from one company to the other. Not to go any further, but, in 2018, the production of Roku Original Slugfest was announced, a docuseries by The Russo Brothers that will explore the rivalry between Marvel and DC. Some say that you can't enjoy both companies' cinematic universes simultaneously, and that you need to pick a side. But while a large part of the audience already has its favorite company, others enjoy both universes equally. This situation of having to take sides is also true for actors: those who are part of the MCU are contractually banned from a
